We founded Poundland in December 1990. Our vision was to offer the customers value for money with prices that couldn’t be beat and in the process, inadvertently changed the British High Street and the way people shop forever.

85% of all people in Britain have been into, or shopped in a Poundland store.

I was extremely humbled by being voted Britain’s Best Boss a few years ago and being appointed an ambassador for the RBS NatWest Entrepreneur Spark.

I have also acted as a Retail Ombudsman, to oversee the department responsible for dealing with complaints from consumers and retailers all over the UK.
